Pocket Event Policies

The following terms and conditions will apply automatically to all participants of the event. Violation of these conditions will result in the participant’s removal from the event.
General:

  1. Otafest and Microsoft staff reserve the right to make changes to any aspect of the event including, but not limited to, the schedule, event format and layout.
  2. The venue space, equipment and staff are to be treated with respect. Participants are liable for any damages to the equipment or venue space.
  3. All participants are to treat each other with respect. Zero tolerance for harassment and abuse in effect.
  4. No outside food or drink in the venue.

Tournament and Challenges:

  1. Players are to treat each other with respect. No cheating or use of offensive language.
  2. All equipment is to be treated with respect. Players are liable for any damages to the equipment or venue space.
  3. All tournaments require pre-registration. All interested participants must register by April 5th, 2017.
  4. Otafest reserves the right to cap the number of teams for each tournament.
  5. All teams must meet the required number of players for their tournament/challenge.
  6. All teams must check in to their registered tournament 15min prior to the start of their first game. All team members must be present for the scheduled game otherwise the team risks disqualification.
  7. Should the tournament/challenge be interrupted by technical issues, power outages or other uncontrollable occurrences, Microsoft and Otafest staff reserve the right to decide the outcome of the event and/or how the event will continue.
