Lia is a Japanese singer and solo artist.

While Lia was living in America and studying vocal performance at Berkeley University College of Music, she had the opportunity to be the vocalist for the game, anime, and movie AIR, and recorded the hit Opening song “Tori no Uta”, as well as the insert theme song “Aozora”.

She has gone on to perform several world-famous anime and game tie-up songs including CLANNAD ~AFTER STORY~, Angel Beats!, Charlotte, planetarian, and many more. Her crystal-clear vocals and sound have resonated with fans worldwide, transcending the boundaries of anime. Many fans feel that listening to Lia’s songs carve the stories of their favorite scenes or series into their hearts even further.

Her song “My Soul, Your Beats” charted on Billboard Japan’s top indies sales chart.

Celebrating her 25th anniversary as an artist in 2025, she released her full-length original album “SAGARIBANA” on November 19, 2025. It is Lia’s first original new work in 17 years. The name of the album is of a flower that blooms in the night and scatters in the morning, evoking the floral meanings of “happiness” and “eternal love”.
She also held her 25th anniversary concert “Lia SUPER LIVE 2025” on November 23rd at the Toyosu Pit concert venue in Tokyo.

Lia has pursued a variety of musical activities both in Japan and abroad, and is very excited to visit Canada again in May!
